Moltec Windpower Products offers its customer an array of grounding cables, braided straps, and grounding bars associated with wind turbine towers and nacelles. In working closely with its customers in designing packaged and kitted electrical systems, Moltec has found that unit packaging and/or kitting of accessories and other similar items is of great advantage to the customer. Including all the parts and materials in a kit, along with installation instructions, saves time and money, and helps assure a proper installation.

Grounding cables, braided straps, and other grounding devices are an integral part of the wind turbine electrical systems, and just as we provide kitted lighting, power service, cabling, and switching kits, we provide grounding accessories as well. The typical grounding devices are installed in tower sections at tower manufacturers, and interconnected by contractors at jobsites where in both cases numerous other Moltec materials such as lighting and power distribution items are installed and interconnected. Therefore, grounding accessories are a perfect fit for Moltec kitting programs.

Typically the customer will have its preferred design and materials callouts for such grounding devices. In some cases Moltec engineering will use this information to prepare drawings and technical support documentation to meet the customer’s needs.
